The Circles & Spaces Leadership Cohort exists to prepare youth leaders for mission through connection, collaboration, competency, and culture.

To connect with like-minded youth leaders and begin to build relationships, community, and a shared sense of purpose.

To collaborate with experienced Christian leaders within the church and marketplace as we listen to, and learn from, one another to develop effective ministries.

WHO IS THIS FOR?

  • We work with youth leaders of all ages and all experience levels. However, it is essential that all youth leaders carry a posture of humility and teachability throughout the Circles & Spaces journey.

  • We work with youth leaders who want to prioritize evangelism and discipleship within their ministries. Be ready to explore new ways to innovate in order to pursue that mission.

  • We work with youth leaders of all backgrounds. The only prerequisite is an openness to the Holy Spirit and being challenged and stretched in that relationship.

  • We work with youth leaders who are committed to the mission to identify, develop, and release the next generation of young people into their calling.

HOW DOES THIS WORK?

  • Join us from January 2024 to May 2024 on this learning journey.

  • Los Angeles & London
    If you can only attend one, attend Los Angeles where we will have an intentional time for our cohort to journey together. London will be a second, optional, gathering where we will attend the Leadership Conference together.

  • 5 Large Group Sessions. 5 Small Group Cohorts.

  • Not too small. Not too big. Once we hit 50, the application will close.

  • This journey is built on a desire to learn from one another. It’s a shared journey where we push each other to learn, grow, and adapt.

COST

The cost of the cohort is $750 USD, plus your travel and lodging costs. This is an investment into your future as a leader, and into the health of your youth ministry and the young people you’re serving. This will provide you with access to a world-class community of peers, coaches, and mentors, and give you exposure to what’s happening in key North American cities.

You might be wondering how to pay for it. We see leaders take initiative in a few ways:

(1) Raise the funds from family, friends, etc.

(2) Allocate it as part of your church’s leadership development budget.

(3) Invest in part of it out of pocket, like an educational opportunity.

We’ll have a few scholarships. Ask if you really need it.

  • We’re looking for a diverse group of youth leaders who want to navigate areas of personal growth in their role, broaden their knowledge of youth ministry practices, and collaborate with other like-minded leaders across North America.

  • This cohort is led and organized as a collaborative experience between the Alpha USA Youth Team and the Alpha Canada Youth Team.

  • You’ll get the most out of this cohort experience if you plan to attend both city gatherings. If you can’t make it to both city gatherings, we’d recommend waiting to join a later cohort where you can attend both.

  • The cost of the cohort is $750 USD, plus your travel and lodging costs. We’ve priced this as an intensive investment into your leadership and experience in this cohort.

  • We invite you to (1) raise the funds from family, friends, etc. (2) allocate it as part of your church’s leadership development budget, or (3) invest in part of it out of pocket, like an educational opportunity.

  • We’ll have a small number of need-based scholarships, and we’re working on finding additional partners to help offset the costs of the program.

  • We will meet twice per month, always on Thursdays. Meetings will be divided between large group sessions and small group sessions, will be between 60-90 minutes in length, and will always begin at 12pm EST/9am PST.

    A full calendar of exact dates will be posted one month prior to the launch of the cohort.

  • The $750 registration fee covers some of the costs that we incur to provide the cohort with the best experts and coaches available. These funds also help to offset some of the food, experience, and venue reservation costs that we incur at our in-person gatherings. Alpha is a nonprofit organization and we value giving everything away for free whenever possible. Although we can’t currently provide this experience for free we are striving to make it as affordable as possible and never want money to be the reason that a youth leader is unable to participate.

  • Cancelations that occur on or before September 1 will receive a 100% refund minus a 4% transaction fee. Cancelations that occur on or between September 2 and September 14 will receive a 50% refund minus a 4% transaction fee. Cancelations that occur on or after September 15 are not eligible for a refund.
